Over the years I’ve become a go-to resource for my friends and family, as well as an online community of 10K of you(!), for how to create a fulfilling life— the best of restaurants, experiences and connections.
I wanted to create a space dedicated to offering all the things I know and love, rather than letting them live solely in my draft emails or notes app, lost in the abyss until someone else asks me for a recommendation (almost daily), and I’m left digging through it all. And trust me, there’s a LOT to dig through mainly because nothing brings me more joy than discovering and sharing new experiences, followed up by cultivating community and connection.
So here we are. You, me, us, a community that’s here to discover, grow and share. I’m on a mission to live beautifully, and I’m happy to have you join me on this journey. If you’re curious to learn more about that before we dive in, take a peek at embiria.ca or find me over on IG.
Now get cozy and read on.

EXPERIENCES | events, gatherings, collabs that cultivate community
This weekly Tuesday trivia night at Chef’s Hall in Toronto
Who doesn’t love a good wine and cheese tasting event? Tickets here.
I’ll be enjoying pizza on the lawn in Austin this Sunday
Dreaming of one day attending the infamous Debbie Travis retreats in Tuscany
And reminiscing about the local Nurture Retreat I attended, with another one coming up this month. If you want to be fed and nurtured by the wonderful Sonja, I highly recommend it.
PEOPLE | stories, podcasts, books
This Work Party podcast episode where Jaclyn Johnson interviews Tieghan Gerard of the beautiful food blog Half Baked Harvest. When asked how she decides what opportunities to pursue, Tieghan responded “If it’s not the best, why would I do it.“ Oh, and she doesn’t follow any other food accounts on IG in order to avoid distraction. Amen to that.
Currently reading You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero and she’s really making me think of all the ways to level up
Still buzzing from meeting Ajiri Aki, the author of the beautiful new book Joie. If you want to learn to celebrate the simple joys and infuse more of the French way of life in your day to day, you’ll love it.
PLACES + SPACES | travel, restaurants, cafés, hotels, shops
If you’re visiting Austin, you’ll want to try this new pizza place. For more Austin recs, check out Pal’s Guide to Austin!
This new west end spot will be my first stop for apertivo when I’m back in Toronto. Which btw is early June for anyone wondering.
And grabbing a coffee at the new Maha’s location inside KOTN in Leslieville will be my second stop.
½ off bottles of wine on Mondays at the new Café ZUZU by Janet Zuccarini (owner of Gusto and basically all of the delicious places). So cute right?
ICYMI I’m a Peerspace Power Host now! If you need a thoughtfully designed space for content creation, meetings or events, look no further.
PRODUCT PICKS | an ode to olive oil
I want Le Marké on my counter simply for the bottle
And Graza because I can squeeze it all over everything
Lastly, Brightland because they launched a Pizza Oil. That’s right, an olive oil specifically to drizzle on pizza!
I think I’ll pick up a copy of this stunning vegetarian Italian cookbook so I can use all of the above olive oil in various recipes
INSPIRATION + OTHER HAPPENINGS
I’m an investor! This month I officially made my first investment in a women-owned company whose products I’ve consumed since they started. You may have seen them in goop or picked up their gf paleo-friendly treats at your local grocery store. It’s inspiring to see the growth of Stellar Eats and I’m honoured to be a part of their journey. Get your hands on their new carrot cake mix, and thank me later! :)
If you’ve been to Carbone, you’ll be just as excited as me to make this at-home version of their famous spicy rigatoni! LMK how it goes (or invite me over).
Until next time,
xo Pal
